Balloon weeks - always in the 2nd and 3rd week in January

Every year in January, the Tannheimer Valley hosted the Ski-Trail event. This cross-country skiing event thrilled amateur athletes, children, and professional athletes alike. Around 1,400 cross-country skiers glided from Tannheim across the border into Germany to Bad Hindelang. An exciting accompanying program ensured a great atmosphere. For the winter season 2024/25, no Ski-Trail is planned. Other fixed dates in the winter season in the Tannheimer Valley include the Balloon Weeks, which take place every year during the second and third weeks of January, occasional sled dog races in February, and a touring run in March.
