Because the Tannheimer Tal is a high valley at more than 1,000 metres the lakes here freeze up regularly and earlier than in other regions. Near Haller you will find a part of the surface available for ice skaters, which is regularly prepared. You will additionally have the opportunity to try ice skating in the evenings thanks to the floodlights in your winter holiday.

Indoor ice skating in Tannheim
If the weather is not all that nice or if the temperatures are too low, then there's always the indoor ice rink. It is located right at the tourism association building and opens daily in winter.

Don't worry: Lake Haldensee and Lake Vilsalpsee are only open for ice skating if the ice is thick enough. In addition the surface is only accessible to a certain extent. This way you are never in danger of underestimating a dangerous situation on a remote spot on the lake.
