From Tannheim to Vilsalpsee nature reserve - 4.5 km (1.15 hrs)
Vilsalpsee nature reserve is habitat to many animals and plants. This natural treasure which is looked after is an unspoiled paradise. It is worth a trip especially in winter. From Schmieden the road is closed off to general traffic from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. You can also get to Vilsalpsee by carriage, public bus or by the Alpine express.

The Tannheimer Valley spoils you in the winter with optimal conditions for Nordic Walking and Jogging. The route network comprise six cleared routes.

Nordic winter activities in the Tannheimer Valley are not limited to cross-country skiing. The Nordic Walking Arena is also open to you. The six walking routes are well signposted and cleared. Fitness coaches also offer free of charge beginners courses and advanced courses for Nordic Walking. So you can learn the basics or refine your technique. You are requested to pre-register with the Hotel team in the Sägerhof.

With our Nordic Walking trainer, you get to see the magnificent winter paths in the healthy mountain air. You will also get great tips for optimal technique. Whether it’s rhythm, speed or using the poles - our trainer always has good advice to offer which means you reach your training goals quickly and easily.
